Solar grants on Carer's Allowance
Carer's Allowance is a qualifying benefit for ECO4 solar grants, alongside electric heating and an EPC rating of D to G.
If you receive Carer's Allowance, you meet the benefits criterion for ECO4. As always, solar PV funding also depends on your heating type and EPC band, and your energy supplier decides. We confirm everything with you first.
The three things that need to line up
- A qualifying benefit - which, with Carer's Allowance, you have.
- Electric heating - solar under ECO4 is only funded where your home is heated by electricity, not mains gas.
- An EPC rating of D to G - the scheme is aimed at less energy-efficient homes.
